Bridgwater Shooting Club

Welcome to Bridgwater Shooting Club

Hi all, It’s four weeks until we start up again and personally I can’t wait. Preparations are cracking along for the start of the season and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone again and shooting things. Just a reminder, as per last year, please allow some time before your first shoot to fill in this year's membership form. These will be available at the desk. Until we have your info and more importantly your signed declaration you will not be able to shoot.
There will be a working party on Saturday the 21st of March from around 10am for general maintenance and tidying up ready for the new season, thanks in advance to all who can attend this. See you all on Thursday the 2nd of April.
Cheers, Lee.

Fixtures for 2026 are available

Cannington Clays

Clay shooting at Cannington Park takes place on Thursday evenings through the Summer (see the Fixtures page for dates of ALL events), starting as soon as all the stands are set up and we are ready, and finishing before dusk in order to give us time to clear away.

On the afternoon of shooting, the course of 5 stands, giving rounds of 50 targets, is set up by those club members available, usually a group of dedicated volunteers who kindly give up their time to ensure set up is completed ready for the evening shoot, with a view to making it different to the previous week/s, so there are always new target presentations to consider - some easier and some not! No two shooting sessions will be the same.

After the shoot members are encouraged to stay for a cuppa and then help clear up and collect unbroken clays, which are recovered for future use.

We are a very friendly club and non-members are always made welcome. Please note that non-Certificate holders will only be able to attend a maximum of two shoots and will be accompanied by an experienced Club member to ensure the safety of all.
